On this day, the paperback of The Draft held the # 1 spot on Amazon.com’s bestselling titles in the Genre Fiction > Sports category, while the hardcover of The Cut was just below it at # 2.

Congratulations to Eric Loen, McKinley ‘Big Mac’ Reed,’ and Pete Williams, who won free signed copies of both The Cut and The Draft after successfully answering trivia questions from Wil during his Sirius Radio appearance last night. Wil took over for Pat Kirwan during the last half hour of the NFL Network’s “The End Zone,” as Pat had a ‘good emergency’ to attend to.

Wave wins the 2005 New Jersey Notable Book Award from the New Jersey Center for the Book. It is chosen, along with nineteen other titles, among the thousands of books published from 1995 to 2005 that possess a New Jersey theme, flavor, subject matter, etc. This is the first time the Center has bestowed this honor. In recognition, all twenty titles are incorporated into a poster that is sent to libraries statewide. Use the ‘Disaster Novels’ link for more details.

Wave is nominated as a ‘2005 New Jersey Notable Book’ via New Jersey's Center for the Book. Only twenty titles will ultimately be chosen for this honor, and they will be announced at the Center's first annual Author Awards Day on April 20, 2006. Commemorative posters will be distributed throughout the state to celebrate these books and their authors.
